Manatee from Endangered the Threatened

U.S. environment group warns against reducing the sea cows’ endangered status

A U.S. government move to downgrade the conservation status of manatees and green sea turtles is premature,

an environment group has warned, despite encouraging signs that both species are recovering.

If you live in say, Canada, France, England, Russia and so on, do you call yourself a Floridian?

Of course not, if questioned you would look a little foolish wouldn’t you?

(You may have noticed that “The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service” used West Indian in place of what we in Florida call,

(Florida Manatees?)

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed to remove the “Florida Manatee” from the endangered species list and reclassify it as “threatened”

Remember last year with our Florida Black Bears?

First they starved them by picking and selling their food!

Then they

Quickly became the hunted!

Manatees set for removal from U.S. endangered species list

Bob Atkins president of citizens for Florida Waters and the boat people.

The boating enthusiast have hated the manatee ever since they ran the waterways of Florida simply because, for short periods of time the manatee interferes with their boating fun and games!

You see my friends,

Manatees are air breathing mammals and must come to the surface every now and then for air.

The problem with this is that for a short period of time going out or coming into port or land where manatees eat, boats must slow down for less damage to the animals?

Florida has thousands of water ways for boat fun ad fishing, thousands!

Lakes, rivers, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.

Very few of these waterways are places where manatees eat and/or hangout, very few!

Pictures of manatees hit by boats

The boaters flat out refuse to slow in this or any other areas that restricts their fun!

Florida Manatees have no money to pay off government officials, just like the Florida Black Bear!

The Boaters have plenty of cash, checks and notes to pay everyone!

You may have noticed that “The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service” used West Indian in place of what we in Florida call, Florida Manatees?

Would this be a ply to soften your stance on this brutal arrangement?
